AIR ATOMIZING
Air atomizing spray guns are recommended when finish quality
is of the utmost importance. Choose from a wide selection, including:
light duty (for occasional maintenance and touch-up jobs), standard
production (for conventional coatings), heavy duty (for spraying
a wide range of coatings), and automatic (for use with spindle,
reciprocating, and rotary machines).
HIGH VOLUME LOW PRESSURE -
HVLP
HVLP uses approximately the same volume of air as a conventional
spray gun, but at a lower pressure to atomize the fluid. By reducing
atomizing air pressure at the nozzle, forward velocity of the
spray is also reduced minimizing bounce back and over-spray from
the item(s) being coated. This results in increased transfer
efficiency and substantial savings in coating materials and booth
filter usage. In California, HVLP is mandated as the only legal
method of spraying. Available is pressure and gravity feed models.
AIRLESS
Airless spraying does not directly use compressed air to atomize
the coating material. A pump delivers paint to the spray gun
under high hydraulic pressure (500 to 45000 PSI) to atomize the
fluid. The fluid is then released through an orifice in the spray
nozzle. This process increases transfer efficiency and production
speed with less overspray than conventional air atomized spray.
In some cases, however, fine finishes cannot be achieved. It
is the fastest means of applying a coating.
AIR-ASSISTED - HVLP
These spray guns combine features found in both air and airless
spray guns. They provide fast application of material and reduced
overspray. A finely atomized coating approaching that of compressed
air atomization can be achieved with these spray guns.
ELECTROSTATIC LIQUID SPRAY
GUNS

electrostatic coating equipment.
HEAVY DUTY SPRAY GUNS
Heavy Duty Airless and Automatic Airless Spray Guns are used
to apply abrasives and high viscosity fluids such as mastics,
adhesives, and sound deadeners as well as conventional coatings.
EXTRUSION SPRAY GUNS
6000 PSI Manual and Automatic Extrusion Guns, 4000 PSI Automatic
Guns, and 1500 and 350 PSI Manual Guns. The 6000 PSI Extrusion
Guns are designed to dispense fluids ranging from water to putty.
The 4000 PSI Manual and Automatic Guns are designed for use with
viscosity fluids under 100,000 centipoise.
PLURAL COMPONENT SPRAY GUNS
Plural component spray guns can be used to dispense a wide variety
of materials, including polyesters, gel-coats, fiberglass reinforced
plastics, urethane foams, elastomers, epoxies, and silicones.
